Have you ever wondered what happens when a gallium-based material is modified with a focused ion beam of the same element? In the photo you can see the effect of just such an event. Gallium grains precipitated under the modified GaAs surface, and they are by no means small. Sometimes this phenomenon is the one that we expect, but it usually interferes with our scientific plans. If we want to avoid it, we should modify the samples with another element beam, e.g. xenon plasma. In Poland, such a solution is only available in our laboratory, of which we are proud and we keep improving our skills. We would like to invite you to cooperate with us!
